Hello everyone, welcome to my current disassemble article, then let me introduce you to today’s protagonist –Infinix Note5 Stylus
This is the device which i use, which i bought for 79,000 Nigerian Naira which is equivalent to $218 us dollars as of 2019.
Infinix has gone to a long way to achieve the Note 5 stylus and now you will see the technology behind this awesome device.
Infinix announced a flagship series smartphone NOTE 5 Stylus on july 2018 but arrived in the markets on September 2018.
This design of this device has kept people talking and amazed on what infinix can achieve. The stunning colors, sweet camera pixels, battery life and the design of the X Pen.
The new NOTE high-end device, not only keeps upgrading the original product line genes, but also takes a huge step ahead, more impressive than the NOTE 4 Pro, wooing us.
NOTE 5 Stylus has a slim and curved surface design that gives a delicate smooth feeling in the hand thanks to the aluminum alloy NMT integrated molding and sandblasting process of refinement. It features a 6.0inch FHD+ full view display, 2.5D glass which provides premium entertainment experience. Above the front is an indicator light, a sensor, a high quality 16M low light self camera and an LED flash light.
The fingerprint sensor location is very convenient to touch and convenient for a single hand operation, its placed in the middle of the back together with the main camera, to keep the visual balance.
The NOTE 5 Stylus main camera is a 16M AF high quality camera that eqalls a 16 mega pixels, combining dual PD fast focus and true-tone flash light, to ensure the capture of amazing photos even in low light conditions.
Insertion of the X Pen into the NOTE 5 Stylus device for a seamless fit, is a huge step forward in the design of NOTE 5 Stylus.
Other than the predecessor infinix NOTE 4 Pro which houses the X pen inside the phone’s case beside the body. The X Pen access point is located on the bottom left corner of the device.
It easily pops out when pressed. This design minimizes the risk posed to the X Pen slot for incurring damage incase of a fall.
X Pen uses the same technology as Apple Pencil. It provides you with an excellent handwriting experience through 4096-level of pressure sensitivity to simulate your handwriting pressure.
Compared to Samsung S Pen and Apple pencil, X Pen will provide a longer usage time for a single charge.
1. Eject the SIM card slot and X Pen.
The card slot is located on the top left edge of the device. It’s a hybrid slot, accommodates dual-Nano SIM cards, or one Nano SIM card and one T flash card.
2. Unfasten the 2 bottom screws on the lower edge, and open the back cover.
The layout of the device is very compact.
3.The bottom is designed asymmetrically. Micro 5 Pin USB is in the middle. The right side is loudspeaker, the 3.5mm jack and Mic are on the left.
4.True-tone Camera has been fixed to a separated board, which hot-melted on the battery cover.
5.The back cover is created through the NMT process and the CNC process. Each cover undergoes 50 minutes of CNC that entails more than 30 different processes. The cover is made of 7 series aluminum alloy of a light weight, high strength and excellent coloring properties.
6. X Pen charging seat is located in the lower left corner of the main board.
After X Pen is inserted into the phone, the handwriting ratio has two sheets of metal on the head, the largest area of metal contact charging scheme, filled with energy in a short time.
The stylus can be inserted inside the phone and inserted into it.
7. Separate mainboard:
Remove the host screws, remove the two lower tightening steel sheets, and separate the Connectors.
The other side of mainboard, you can see that the shield parts in the chipset and memory, and front housing are covered by the pink heat dissipating gel, which can effectively improve the heat dissipation efficiency and ensure the uniform heat.
8.Separate sub board and sound box:
Sound box placed to compress FPC connector on the sub board.
NOTE 5 stylus uses the full box speaker, with bigger volume, a lower frequency a much full human voice and an outstanding analytic ability. Compared to Note 4 pro, fidelity is better and distortion is lower. The live experience is excellent.
9.The mainboard is very compact and has a very high utilization area.
10. Separate camera and fingerprint connector.
Front camera uses a 16M 4 in 1 low light technology, combined with AI beauty function, to provide quality photo effects.
The rear camera uses a 16M AF with dual PD sensor and F1.8 lens, which can realize fast focus for very good quality captures.
11. Remove the front shield of the mainboard. CPU and memory are placed on the mainboard front side.
12. Remove the battery.
NOTE 5 Stylus or Pro uses a premium polymer battery, whose capacity is 4000 mAh, and also supports 3A fast charge.
This can give you a three days battery life.
On the back of the battery is the main FPC and the screen FPC.
13. Heating and separating the front housing and screen component.
Capacitor pen handwriting scheme, the thickness and structure of the screen without any design impact, hence, you can see the capacitor pen touch panel IC in the lower part of the FPC.
This is how Infinix designed the Note 5 stylus with their engineers, bringing to the world a device that is beyond intelligence.
